DML 9061 Jagdpanzer IV L/70 'Johann Huber'

Well as you can see I started a new thread for this build.

I studied the manual a little yesterday and the hull, apparently originating from the A-0 kit, needs some attention. I'm not sure about the positioning of the far rear return roller support. Is it supposed to be located lower than the two to the front?

Some details are missing aswell compared to the A-0 kit. The front fender hinges are as undetailed as it gets. These will be replaced by Aber PE hinges.

Erik, now you see what the TLC is about, (tender loving care). The kit lacks some of the super detail and accuracy that we've come to know lately, especially for such a recent release.

I built it pretty OOTB, as I wanted to use it for a painting tool, I just had to try my hand at the boxtop camo. Even as such, it looks nice and displays well with my other "more accurate" kits.

Have fun, I'll be watching.

Yes, it's supposed to be lower.

Well haven't had much time this weekend but I glued the rear plate in place and filled ( or so I thought untill I saw the picture

) the markings intended for the side support for the idler wheel mount.

There's a gap between the side and rear that needs to be filled aswell, as this was one-piece plating if I'm not mistaking. Furthermore some bolt heads are missing.

That's all for now. Tuesday I'm going to Mallorca (Spain) on vacation for 1 week, so the project will be on a hold a while. I'm thinking of bringing the friuls for the Jagdpanzer but I don't think my girlfriend will allow it
