Photo Review of Trumpeter's Neubaufahrzeug (Rheinmetall)

So everyone knows, I plan to review this kit and then send it on to a friend to build. Hopefully, that person will post their build here.

Wow, that turret reminds me the turret of the 2S1 SPG.

The tracks, while nice in appearance and theory, are useless.

Here I have pinned them and allowed the glue to set. Before cutting them free, I grabbed the first link with some tweezers and it came free!

As one can see, the pins never reach the second set of the track links to form a proper hinge. Therefore, they do not articulate and are merely individual link tracks that must be glued together and hae the track pins (cosmetic only) added.

I am truly disappointed!

Regards,

I purchased this kit this past weekend and have noticed that the tracks just don't look very good. At least when compared to the Dragon and Amusing ones (especially the Amusing). I may wait for the new Friuls to come out although I am very tempted to start work on this kit.
