Panzerjäger 38(t) für 7.62cm PaK36(r)

Hello peoples.

Here is a fun little project that I have been working on for the past little while. This is Tamiya's new 1/48 Marder III (excellent kit) and I was forturnate to receive an advance release copy from Hauler of their photo etch update (also very nice).

WIP shots....

Just for fun I decided to try out some Color Modulation techniques....the process

The results, Modulation Style....

Next, the weathering. First a light spray of tan colors on the soon to be dirtier areas

Chips and filters are applied using acrylic paints....

Artists oils....

Finally we get to the "Nearly There" state....pigments then final shots soon.

I will bring you the final photographs soon.

Thanks for following along,

Rick

That's a superb model you build and painted.

But your vBench post is also a nice tutorial! Thanks for that...

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

This is clearly just a CG image. It's too perfect. Shame on you Mr Lawler for trying to makes us believe you can airbrush that well.

I wasn't sure about the shading at first but with the added layers it seems to blend right in. Neat!

And the shading and weathering on the thumb is incredibly life like. How do you do it?
