Sturer Emil

Hi Everybody:
I'm going to build the Sturer as a inbetween
project while i'm doing the Jagdtiger Porsche
production kit.

After reading all the links you guys gave me,
there was a question brought up about the
air intake covers on the rear as to weather
they were armor plate or just sheet metal
like the fenders.

Did anyone ever come to a conclusion, armor
plate or sheet metal?

I've got the Voyager set of PE and I might as
well use it(my first try at PE).
I've also got the Barrel Depot barrel and it measures
the same as the kit. It's my understanding now that
all the aftermarkets, except the ArmorScale, are too
short. Is this correct?(barrels are cheaper than PE sets)

Thanks for all your help
....L.D....

Just received an order of Armoscale stuff today and among them are the barrel and ammo.

Here's a review of the Armoscale barrel plus comparison on PMMS

The barrel from Armor scale is excellent. It's a work of art. Not kidding, It's that good. Compared with the Armorscale barrel, the kit one looks punny. Get the AS one. BTW, I don't work for armorscale

Armour Scale for sure.........

Without a doubt the AS Barrel is the best offering out there.
Ive had the JR and Shatton barrels and the AS offering walks all over them.
The Ammo set is outstanding as well.

Hi Tony,

this looks very promising! Having a little different arrangement of AM for the Emil at home, I'll defenitely follow your blog. The Voyager PE comes with some resin parts (for the radio and some other stuff) and a little stencil for the unit insignia, right?

Johannes

€dit: After your "show of force" with the Griffon-PE for the Brummbär, I guess you'll have no problems with that Voyager set
