Cavalier Zimm Directions Missing

Hi All:
I got my Cavalier Zimm yesterday for my DML
Elefant which is great. The paper work is
in there but the inside of the sheet is blank.

I've never used this stuff before and it would
be nice to know how to install the parts and
pieces on my Elefant when the time comes.

Anybody out there that could sent me a scan??
OH,and the hull parts in there are warped pretty
bad.How do I flatten those out?

Thanks
Tony

Could you post a photo of the Zimm sheet?

I hate to be the one to tell you this but that's about it from them. You do have the bit that explains the use of glue with their product? This is about it.
Ed.
(anymore detailed info then email me and I'll scan one of the sheets I've got for you )

I used the Cavalier Elefant zim a few years ago.

Basically what you do is trim out the peices and test fit them dry. Its pretty obvious where they go after you get them cut out.

One thing to watch out for is some of the upper hull peices are just a tad too short lengthwise and dont "butt up" in the corners. You'll have to use some putty to fake in the zimmerit in those spots. Nothing major, though.

I've read several posts from others having similar experinces with Cavalier zimmerit so I know it wasn't just user error on my part. ;D

Do you cut out those little tits where the
plate bolts stick out?

I see alot of people use Elmers white glue
instead of epoxy,is this a useable sub?

Should you rough up the shiney side of
the panels?

???????

Here's what works for me. I would tape some sanding paper down and wet it. Then slowly and carefully sand the back of the resin sheet until the zimm panels fall out.

I usually use two part epoxy and it works fine.
