Talking JagdpanzerIV/L48

Hello folks!

Here's my little side project. Dragons 1/72 scale Jagdpanzer. I wasn't going to build it now, but as Niko challenged me to make convincing whitewash I just had to do something abt that. Well heres some on progress pics.

It's build OoB so not another grazily detailed jagdpanzer as one f my fellow countryman has done as I don't have alien tecnology on my side. Zimmerit is made using Macig sculpt. At some point it looks bit thic, but on live it don't look so bad. Haven't deside what unit to make, but have my one favourite 4PD in mind. Unfortunately there's no pics of em Jagds. As far as I know. Updates will follow.

Cheers Mikko

p.s. If somebody has some nice whitewash camo pics or colourplates I would be very pleased.

Very nice work Mikko. The zimm in that scale must be very challenging and you have done a very good job of it.

Thank you Paul, Marco and Stuke! The smaller the scale the smaller the amount of work... eh?! At least area to where work zimmerit is smaller. Good to hear you like that zimmerit.

Cheers Mikko

Hi Mikko,
this looks very good. Zimmerit is not too thick and with wash it will even better.

Excellent zimmeriting! You don't need alien technology!

Such fine work is way beyond me.

Update.

Thanks Siim.

Heres update. Last evening and night I made little progress. I liberately added second camo colour, this time brown.

And then sprayed off white colour so that camo underneat shows through.

Today put some wash in it to darken zimmerit areas.

And tryed tracks in place

And noted something...

Idler wheel is way too low..=( Well can't do nothing about it at this point. Anyway this is Ootb project. Sad still. Comments are wellcome and update will follow.

Cheers Mikko
