Blitz n' Flak

here's my latest work...
friend gave up a long time a go so he said "do what you can.."

i'll place it somewhere in dusty russian country site, summer '43, grey Blitz with gelb Flak

this is just setup of my idea... nothing is positioned 100% for now, need to place everything more to left, maybe even use bigger base...

T55 barrels will be covered with tent so don't look at them for now

guy next to trailer with legs wide spread will be modified to sit on tire
and guy next to him getting on his knee still wears head-phones...

a lot of sanding is to be done on figures, mounting of flak and so on

i was thinking about two groups... left goup (2 mechanics/tankers and 2 officers on top) doing recon and loosing map/binoculars on blitz's hood
and main group briefing/debating what to do or what has been done with soldiers keeping distance from high officers...
but your idea is really interesting... i'm not sure we'll order kitchen pack but i could make some barbecue field improvisation like potatoes and some meat...
even two kneeling soldiers would fit in that scene.. thank you! =)

will see if i can do something about it... don't have anything to put on instead of beret right now...
maybe panzer guys saved their buts in action so soldiers decided to "buy" them a dinner =)

sorry to say, but this Flak is to heavy/strong for Opel Blitz
Even test trials with 2cm Flakvierling were not succesful because of the movement of the suspension.(recoil force) Maultier L4500 would be the better option also I know one pic from Opel Maultier with 3,7cm Flak 36.
Regards from Vienna
Robert

yea i know... but this is what friend bought many years ago and he said like i wrote above "do what you can"
maybe some quick field improvisation for infantry covering with no heavy bursts =)
he liked pictures of flak on blitz and if 115kg guy says he wants flak on blitz then flak on blitz he gets!
