Thank you all for posting your comments, I appreciate all of your feedback.
Laurent and Chris, excellent info and I am greatful for the corrections. The extra photos are gold.
I am unsure now how to proceed now as I knew of the incorrect rear plate but not of the other details. Looks like I will have to trash the kit to make the changes and use my already 'pirated' G Kharkov- great info , I wish my references had the detail I needed.
???? trash or not to trash?

keep going with this Baz, it's a bloody ripper as is.

Life's so very funny, you just need to remember to laugh [note to the clowns].

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

I second Coop at the moment.
I looked at our kit closely and I do not see a simple way to bring it back to where it belongs which is a late H.
You'd have to get rid of the added front plate, rework the driver front plate and ... adding zimmerit (among other modifications).Considering all the stuff you added, just keep it as it is and unless you can't cope with the historical mistakes, finish it for your own pleasure.
I'm quite sure that even if you were to bring it to a model contest, not many people'll be able to point at the mistakes.

You have put so much effort in this kit and it looks so good that I think you should continue with it for your and our modelling pleasure, as at this point will be hard to make all corrections necessary either to make Early or Late Ausf.H. Looking forward to seeing it with a camo

U can always start new build using Ausf.G kit as a base with sprockets, final drive housings and turret from Ausf.H Late kit, some time in the future when you would like to have true and accurate "Grislybaer"

I have to agree, keep going.

IMO, trashing this wonderful build would be a much larger mistake. Build it for practice, build it for fun but by all means build it. You can always chose other markings for this one if you want and use the info posted here to do it up perfect.

Please continue.

Build how you like, like how you build.

Hi Barry,

nice built model!
Regarding the accuracy I have to agree with Laurent and Chris with his nice list of changes.
But on the other side I also have to agree with the others: keep going with the model. Although it's not that accurate, it would indeed be a waste not finishing it.

So coninue with it!

Thanks for the nice comments and the great support, however, me being me I can't live with the fact that this has so many incorrect details. I was willing to live with the rear lower plate but that was it.
Not sure what I will do now as I am still trying to work out how to fix this and get away with it, without a destroyed kit or too much scratch work.
It might just go back into the box too and I will go back to work on my BR52 again.
