my own personnal taste tends to having me to disagree with the oxide red on the gunner's hatches ... I don't think this part would've been left unpainted, but your StuH looks good for sure.

Laurent, my "theory" is that the vehicle was painted in dunkelgelb with the hatches closed, and then...the edged remained in red primer; I'm wrong? You know you can correct me if you want; thanks

dario. A couole of days ago I found this pic and thought of you :



Of course it is a Tiger but that's how it looks on war time pics of the StuGs too.
Maybe the tank was not painted with hatches closed I guess but without the hatches on. They would then be painted the same color as the tank so in your case it's Dunkelgelb, inside and outside. Of course this part is covered by the hatch when closed so it is cleaner than the outside of the tank.

By the way, nice job you did on this one !
