Wink Diorama signs?

Hi all!
I was thinking to start adding diorama signs on my dioramas. What is the best material to use? Have seen some use stiff paper/thick paper and others use engraved metallic signs?
Ebbe

Hello (again ) Ebbe,

Usually I use Balsa wood for my signs, since I like to hand paint all of them. I have seen people who use thick card or even plastic and then glue printed signs. These are ok, but if you want them to look like wood, the best thing is to use wood!

About metallic engraved signs I was wondering, if somehow you could simulate engravings of letter, a mold could be easily made and then the signs casted in resin.

Some food for thought

Hope this helps

Dave
