having recently got ahold of Platz der Leibstandarte, I've been inspired to do a Kharkov scene. I'll be using the Tamiya Stug III G, Warriors commander, and Warriors SS infantry. The stug will be on a road, holding its position to provide cover for advancing SS troops.

Klaus, I got my copy from JJ Fedorowicz. I'm not sure if they still have copies in stock though. They have the Restayn book on Kharkov you're looking for. One option would be amazon's used and new books, but that can get pretty expensive. Ebbe, I'll look through the book and see if there's anything in there.

Klaus,

My wife just bought "The Battle of Kharkov" for me for Christmas directly from J.J. Fedorowicz (www.jjfpub.mb.ca/), but you can also get it from Aberdeen Books (http://www.aberdeenbookstore.com).

HTH,
Adam

Hi Evan!
Well my thought was doing a fontain with children dancing around a dragon or a crockdile (dont know how its spelled). I think this was placed in Stalingrad but I thought it was do fine to resist. But I dont want to be dead wrong either when I do the diorama.
Cheers!
Ebbe

Ebbe, I have the book of which you speak, and I don't remember a fountain in the central square. The statue you speak of indeed was in Stalingrad.

Ebbe, I checked the book. Not too many pictures of the square itself however. But from the aerial photos and pics of troops placing 'Platz der Leibstandarte' signs around the square, it seems that there would be no fountain.

Hi Evan!
Is it just a cross road? Im just started on the figures. Think it will be around 8-9 of them. It will show Totenkopf troops linking up with LSSAH soldiers. Dont know if that ever happend. How is your work coming along?
Cheers!
Ebbe
