Sturmi Marjatta WIP.

Hello Fellows!

Heres my Sturmi in progress but I have a few questions that I hope your Finnish friends could help me with.

1. Should this box be removed when Im adding the new storage box?
2. Were both antennas used on this vehicle and was it the longer german type?
3. Did the Finns have sparetracks here as the Germans had?

4. Should I add a bit of tarp here as protective?

5. I could really use a picture of the DT machine gun mount especially with the gun mounted? And were the shell catching bag attached in combat?

6. I dont think I understand how the cupola is supposed to be, even after reading the post here:
http://www.andreaslarka.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=67

I understand that the scissorscope should be attached to the upper flat ring. But what did the mount look like and how should the hatch be positioned?

Cheers

1) Yes
2) Yes. Is there a shorter "Finnish type" available?
3) Yes.
4) No. The early ones had the bigger tarp covering the front part of the roof. It had a hole for the gun.
5) The stand is quite simple. Just a piece of metal with a hole in it. I don't think that the bag was attached in combat.

6) The scissorscope should be located behind the plated over periscope and the hatch hinges should be on the opposite side. Judging from your picture, just flip the upper ring 180 degrees.

Thanks, Andreas! That helped very much.

Is there any pictures of the earlier type or is it of the same type the Germans used?

When it comes to the cupola. I dont think I still dont understand. Left in the picture Ive posted is the front of the Sturmi. Should the "blind" spot of the cupola be facing forward and have the scissor scope?

Ive actually also thought of building Marjatta after the conversions as well.

Cheers

Yes.
