Dingo MKI b

After an unplanned stop on my modeling activity (6 months) I managed to restart.
Instead of continuing one of the half done models I have around, I decided to start a new one and preferably a fast one just to get into the pace.
This Dingo from Miniart is a precious little kit and till now, a lot of fun to build.
Here are some pictures of the initial phases. Only the cabin and suspension are final. Most of the parts on these pictures are not yet glued, so you might find some gaps.
Only complaint - The radio front plate is just a "blob" of meaningless details, with the normal dials and switches missing. Solution? Put the pivoting chair right in front of it, or find a decent resin (or plastic) substitute. I'm going for the first option

EDIT: I was told that some Dingo's had no radio but a stowage box in it' s place. That's the case of this kit. Miniart opted for the stowage box instead of the radio.

Nice work, Antonio. I'm looking forward to your applying paint to this wee beastie. Are you planning some figures and a base to go with it? Or will this stay a stand-alone?

Rudi

p.s. good to see you back at the modelling

Thanks

Hey Rudi

Thanks. It's good to be back. Finally some breathing space after all the work, PM certification and all that's happened these last 6 months.

Answering you question...
The kit comes with three figures. I'm going to make them (as usual, some Hornet heads are in order) and with this little model I guess I'm going to make a small base.
Nothing too fancy, but something to put the model "in situation". Sand, a bit of desert rubble and a couple of guys waiting while the officer scans for foes.

Hey Antonio,

Sounds good! I'll be keeping a close eye on your progress

BTW, what cert did you go for? PMBoK? Or an IBM based cert? RUP?

IBM (valid within IBM and little else) and PMI (exam and 4500+ hours of PM - already logged before) eh eh. I didn't know there was so much stuff to know about PM. But I still love to do code LOL (to the despair of many of the delivery teams). Nothing worse than a PM meddling into their affairs eh eh

Nice looking unit .
One of the first 1/35th kits I ever built was the Tamiya's Dingo, not quite as good as this kit IIRC .

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .
