Radio set for Wespe

Howdy!

Anyone know if the radio as used in the German Wespe would be the same as the Fug 5 radio set used in the Grille?

They look the same to me...I was just wondering if I could use the Tiger Model Designs Fug 5 radio set in the Wespe...? Maybe the bracket/frame is different?

Actually taking a second look it looks like the TMD set contains a Transmitter and Receiver, anyone know for sure? It also contains the Transformer, Intercom Box and Antenna relay, very nicely detailed.

Not sure about the wiring diagram though....will be awhile getting to wiring it, I was just looking for a heads up from someone who knows...

cheers, Paul

In a few days this book should arrive at my doorsteps. I'll take a look, it might have the answer!

German Radio Sets 1935-1945.

According to the book, the Wespe would have a Fusprech. f. The book doesn't mention the Grille, but like the Marder it could be the Fusprech. d.

The Fusprech.f and Fusprech.d look the same.

Paul

There are few drawings of the radio sets and wiring diagrams of the Wespe in Achtung Panzer No7 pp108-110. I am heading off to the airport for my summer hols. Perhaps someone who has the book can scan the pages and sent it to you. Otherwise, I will do it when I get back in 2 weeks.
