I would also vote for the Tristar, but to cut and clean all those track links... I think my lazy habit will win.

Here up north Dragon is better available than tristar and dragons kits aren't so horrible that you guys make it sound. Not even 38-family.

Saul,

I have seen your post over at TL. Does that track picture means that Tristar will come out with something similar to MagicTrack? Or these track links are on the sprues, only molded in a way to be slightly moveable?

Hi,

Here is the photo:

I really do not know. C. K. Pat circulated a Word document from which extracting the images in a clear format was not easy. Having a MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist) certificate, I was asked to help so I did.

I have not seen any photos of the sprues nor any text mentioning that the 'snap fitted' track is loose or on sprues. In any case, I would prefer tracks that are accurate, non-workable and with casting numbers over accurate and workable but plain.

Regards,

I prefer the Tristar 38 series as well-they're fantastic and very well engineered. Only drawback is that they make a lot of the aftermarket stuff I usually get obsolete or unusable!

Certainly better-looking than the old Alan kit.
