K.O. StuG IV

Hi guys,

I want to show you some pics of my current project, a knocked out StuG IV! Wow, it's pretty hard to get some references (mainly of the interior) about this vehicle! Therefore I use my imagination to complete most of the interior. To represent a k.o. vehicle is quite time consuming (I have to realize), but also very interesting and captivating!
My StuG IV was destroyed in 1945 by three heavy impacts and was left back.
Well, I'm just working on the interior!

The first hit on the left side of the lower hull. It destroyed the fuel tank III.

The drivers compartment is almost done! The fighting compartment is scratchbuild.

Ok, a lot of work to do! Now on to the engine!

Cheers

Volker

Hi,

I love all the work and you are quite brave to go around deforming all that lovely resin detail. If the vehicle burned, you may want to reconsider the live rounds in the driver's compartment.

Second, there was an escape hatch on the floor, which should be portrayed, behind the driver but before the fuel tank. It is in a different location than the Pz.Kpfw. IV. These images are from Verlinden's Lock On on the Jagdpanzer IV L/70.

Looks really good and not all the people who will see the finished product will notice the lack of the escape hatch if it is too late for you to add.

Regards,
