I'm liking it James! Seems you have grafted parts of the plastic fenders onto the Aber frames, no? Was it a challenge to get it all lined up right? You're cruising right along, keep it up.

I was concentrating on the Panzer II but was able to finally glue the top to the bottom on this build. I was delaying that move until I was able to put a chain or two dangling pistol port plug in but decided to just move ahead- the next one will have all the bells and whistles. Let me just say I would not do this the same way- that is the fenders- I think I would just keep the PE fenders together and go from there- no cutting and patching, it is too much work this way that I've done it here. I think it is in a good place now- the only thing to do now is scratch up some hangers for the Schurtzen. Once that gets done the primer can go on.

I'm jumping in late, as usual, but as I was reading this thread from front to back completely yesterday, it reminded me of the reason I joined here: Your threads , as are always inspiring James!

Really cool build and I also like it that you even show your mishaps, as these are are just as helpful.

In fact, I nearly went out to get me this kit yesterday, just because of this thread.
Luckily, my selfcontrol is amazingly strong...............at times.

How did you blend the fender join? With superglue?

Maaan, I have the old Tamiya kit, this one's miles ahead of that one!

Thanks for taking the time to comment dudes!
The blending was done with both CA and glazing putty. Saw this pic on Ebay today- obviously not a mid version but may be of interest anyhow.

Hey James
Looks super. I like the way you applied the zimmerit, looks very scruffy so the way it should be The bent fender is a nice touch too.
Good job.
