Airbrushes

Having recentley returned to the world of modelling I was wondering about peoples thoughts on Airbrushes ( bit of a mine field of a topic I know). I have a Badger 250 - i think - and also 2 Aztec double action brushes ( defiantly cant remember the code number for those! ). I feel that for me a gravity feed brushwould be better and I'm thinking of getting an Iwatta neo and wondered if any one has any experience with these brushes or any other recomendations to offer.

Hey Simon,

I also have a Badger 250. I've had it for almost 8 years and I think is a wonderful airbrush. I use it mainly for base coats and for clear coats and more general work.

For the detail work I have an Iwata HP-C Plus and I have to tell you it is amazing. I like the gravity feed cup way better since you don't need to use a lot of paint. The only drawback I fond is that it is very sensitive and can clog up easy. You have to clean it very often to avoid that.

Thanks David. I've allways thought that cleaning an airdrush is very important thing to do as I think that a lot of problems can be caused by using a 'dirty' brush so I got into the habit of cleaning the airbrushes that offten whilst spraying I began to think that I spent more time cleaning than painting.
