Smile Minenräumpanzer III; mine roller Pz III

Hi guys,

here are a few pics of my current project, a Minenräumpanzer III.
I just show some pics of it on other modelling pages, but I think, that's a good starting object for my first bench top thread, here!

Here is it, the NewConnection conversion set with rebuild Tamiya StuG III G kit and Aber fenders.

I give a long thought about the painting, because I don't want to paint it in panzergrey overall! This vehicle was only a prototype never saw action on a real minefield. I think it's quite possible to show here some unpainted metal and red primer?! What do you think?

Yesterday I added the base paint and I will send some actual pics, soon!

Cheers Volker

Hi Volker!

Really interesting vehicle! Good work so far!
About the various colors I agree! Add some artistic touch! Red primer panzer gray and bare metal would look grate! But I would only use bare metal jus on those areas where it may look acceptable!

regards,

Volker!

Welcome on the planet!

Very impressive built, i really like the special german things as this, good choice!

You should paint some parts w 3 tone camo which are from another vehicle!?

Where can we see your other models on the net?

Cheers,

Volker, nice to see you work over here on PA. I've seen your things elsewhere, very impressive. As for the paint colors...I'd keep the base vehicle as a grey donor vehicle, then play with your colors of steel and primer on the add-on elements (the arms, attachements brackets, and rollers).

Good modeling,

Rick

Welcome to the Planet Volker,

A very unusual vehicle. It will be fun to watch the finishing of the vehicle,

and the colors you decide to go with. Great stuff.

Quite interesting!
I wonder whether it's a resin conversion or a plastic one...
And what about the idler wheel? Is it Friulmodel's?
I see James Tainton has just one step to walk to get to 3000 posts! Congrats, James!

Hallo Volker!

I think this kit is one of the coolest vehicles out there. How is the quality of the new connection parts?

Cheers and welcome
Manuel
