AMPS 2009 after action report!

Back from AMPS! I will post a few hundred images from the show later in the week.

I would first like to thank Manny Rodriguez and family for putting the wife and I up for a week, we had a great time, plenty of beer and beer! Duclaw's rocked! Did I say plenty of beer? LOL!

I would also like to thank Ron Ochoa as well, great tour at the Smithsonian air museum, thanks buddy!

Hey DANCAP (Dan Capuano) Nancy and I had a good time in the city, great German food! I will post the images of your new dio later this week; I hope that you have a great wedding!

I had a great time at the show, it was good to see a bunch of guys that I normally get to see once a year plus a few that I only see on the web.

I would like to thank John Charvat and crew for presenting and hosting a great event.

I would also like to thank all of the good people who purchased my T-shirts, I sold out of them, I will be placing special orders for the Kelly's Heroes shirts, just e-mail me the sizes needed.

I would like to thanks Fabbio Sacchi & Luca Massacci for making the long trek to the states from Italy and thank you for the new Iveco truck (VM-90 Torpedo) from Historica Production, right up my alley.

It was also fun hooking up with the following guys,Michael Karnowka and his bottle of Lemocello, Rob E., David Vickers, Danny Egan, Pat Mooney, Tom Jett, Ron Volstad, Mike Mummey, Cookie Sewell, Taesung Harmms, Frank Rincon, Frank Desisto and the New York gang (great bunch of guys) Paul Rogers, Dave "Grumpy" O'Meara, Frank Blanton, Brian Alfano (Great look'n bowling/club shirt dude! I wear a 4XL), LOL!, Matt Deck, Larry R., David Manter and the Indiana Gang! as well as all of the Chicago clan, Ron Domatrowski and Bob Kita and the rest of the squad, sorry that I missed the beer blast!

Sean Lynch you will have your work cut out for you next year and yes I will present a seminar for you and AMPS and I promise not to cancel at the last minute!

I would also like to say good bye to Don from Baseline hobbies in W.Babylon, NY. You and your shop will be missed, Nancy and I had a great time at the shop last week, take care and keep in touch!

My favorite models of the show were the L.R.D.G. truck and the Somali AKA Skinny flak wagon (M-35) by Ronnie D.

If I missed any one just yell at me! it was good meeting all of the new faces as well.
The quality of modeling has been stepped up a notch or two since last year, keep up the great work guys!

New World Miniatures would like to thank you all for making the show a great success.

Have a great modeling year!
