Hi guys,

Stan..I still need to trim the posts back a little, and by the time it's all painted and weathered they should be hidden - at least that's the plan.

Nice to hear from you Rudi. I agree, something fast and simple is just what the doctor ordered.

Ropi...thanks.

Nice model Rick, this looks just like the old Tamiya kit, is it just a re-cast?

Interesting subject!

Hello everyone - and Happy New Year!

Nothing like the holiday's to sidetrack progress, aye? Anyway, I found a little time to make a start on the paintwork.

Base colors....

Taping the edges. Of course I do it the hard way - using tape, when I realized just as I was finishing that I have a bunch of Silly Putty stashed away...

Some light chips and scratches....

And finally a light overspray using MIG Filters to tone it down and fade the colors a bit....

Onto the weathering....next time!

Later and thanks,
Rick

Very nice camo Rick.
Did you use a loofah for the scratches or it is some marine sponge?

Ruben
