Hi Paul

I considered ordering a Stug III lower hull and roadwheels from Rainbow Ten as well but I figured it was cheaper to buy the whole kit at the LHS.

I don't have the Tamiya Stug III Ausf G but looking at the instructions I found online (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10000264), you will need to make the following modifications:
1) Remove the front tow hold and replace with DML parts A14, A15, A16 and A17
2) In Step 3, do not use Tamiya part B11. Remove the correct part from DML part A3
3) Do not use Tamiya parts B10, B15 and B19

Post your build on your vBench. I am interested to see how you get on with the kitbash.

Lawrence

Cool

Thanks for the tweeks Lawrence...I posted on my vbench the start of the project, info only, will start tomorrow, sunday.

I think this will be doable, I was looking at the kits today, trying to figure some things out. Not too much in the way of a kitbash really, the Tamiya lower hull is alot nicer in detail so should be fun.

I think the most difficult part will be scratching the barrel as the breech end is tapered, I'm sure you know that anyway. Any idea how to center the barrel in the breech at the tapered end once I cut off the kit one?

I like challenges so we'll see how it goes...
