Looks good! Not too much references for this area I guess?

Enough photographic evidence to get this far. I have nothing on the mechanism to raise the driver's podium so he could drive with the head outside the tank though (but it will be hidden anyway).

I don't know how it was in reality, but here is my first guess:

May be wrong in all aspects, but at least the stuts behind the seat look like they were intended to serve at levers for this task to me (in the photographs).
What do you mean?

Thanks! The Maus I build will have an interior as complete as possible, but will have the hatches closed. Like the real tank you will only see whatever details through the grills.

And the bulkhead between engine and fighting compartment is done, view from the front:

... and the rear

EDIT: This reflects the sorry state of the Kubinka hulk and not the operational vehicle I'm building.

The electric motor mounts have been glued in their place.

The candy striped plastic tube sections have the right diameter and will, at some point, become the motors.

Looks good! Have you tried to plug the top of the hull onto it with the electro engines in place? It seems as in reality the grills above them were thinner (20-25 mm) and there was only 25 mm space between the engines and the grills (and only 5 mm between the mount clamps and the grills!). So expect to have fit problems here...

Top of the hull rests on them, but the fit is perfect.
