Yes, I believe the zim was applied right over the primer. It would be a waste of time to paint it, zim it, then paint it again. Also note, It is my opinion that much of the zim and paint that is missing was as a result of being cleaned with high pressure water after it was pulled up out of the muck.

Very interessting Pic you have linked KuKŁiNsKi.
Why? Because the Hull has a engine air outlet with reduced segments.
This means the hull must be from the second delivery to finnland in summer 44.
Production of this hull was from May 44 onwarts by Alkett. If i can trust my eye's the internal stiffeners have reduced bolts too. I can see only 2 instead of 3. Production of this hulls by alkett was from June 44 onwarts.
But the roof is the old one. In production by Alkett from February 43 to April 44.
This configuration must be taken by the finnish troops. Because i have nevers seen this in original wartime pictures.
It would be very interesting to know the chassis no or the finnish registration no of this vehicle.
