Nice progress so far Mattias. Little details like the radio and the bent fenders will make a big difference to the finished model. Looking forward to more.

So here's a little update.

Right now I'm struggling to keep up the interest and fun in this build. But at least I have managed to make some progress on the commander figure.
Still much left to do, but a hint of where it's heading.

It's darn hard to scratch this jacket unbuttoned but I think it will look really good once it's done. The sleeves will be corrected so they'll have the same length.

I've also done some interior painting on the pakwagen, and it's time to start weathering the inside of it. No pictures though. To ugly at this stage.

Have a great week / Mattias Larsson, Sweden

Mattias...Damn you figure sculpter types! I'm so envious.

This guy looks great! Doing your own work/conversions really takes your work to another level of individuality and uniqueness.

That happens sometimes, especially when you have challenges such as your repaint early in the processs...it feels (at least to me) like your are always playing catch-up. Hopefully you'll find the wind in your sails and it will be smooth sailing from here out.

Thanks Rick.

Your comments are always much appreciated .

Well, I guess all things has its ups and downs. The problem is when I don't feel that passionate about the object I'm working on or when it doesn't turn out the way I expect it too. Like the first paintjob or some of the resculpting on the figures.
Another thing that is pulling my interest in a new direction is the recently arrived package, containing a russian tank and some accessories and books to go with it. My fingers are itching to start working on it .

Not shure I know what you mean with that.

As always, hanging around here for a while gives me my energy back .

Take care / Mattias Larsson, Sweden

Due to all positive waves (not negative ones Moriarity) on this forum I'm pulling myself up from the drain monsters stomach.

I managed to do some basic washes and filters to the interior. Additional spot washes are still left to be done and the chipping etc, etc.
The bench is a bit shiny and will be toned down.

The pictures have a yellow tint but are good enough to show here I think.

Even small steps moves you forward .

Good evening / Mattias Larsson, Sweden

Mattias, love the sculpting on the figure but please repaint those fire extinguishers. They should be the same colour as the interior........anything but red

I get down about the same things you mention above, lately it's parts not fitting properly. Sometimes things add up and they suck the 'life' out of you.

Cheers _ Andrew

I was going to suggest that as well. You may wish to try the Archer set of placards that John, (Sticky) researched.
