do you have a preferred theater? I think you could find several references for these in the HJ during the normandy campaign. Just depends on what you're looking for.

Luiz.
The Pz IVs from this division are well documented. They seem to have the close defense weapon on the turret roof.

The camo scheme is also well known.

they have zimmerit n the glacis but of course not under the spare track links.

Hello Luiz,

this is an awesome build of a Pz IV, so he, I'm going to be a reader of this of course...

Your model looks very, very good! Your PE-work is fantastic!

Now to some historical points, so far I only know of one vehicle of the 12.SS.Pz.Div. HJ which has the later hull with the flat rear hull and the interlocking front hull. This is the Pz IV H with the turret number 837, which is a Vomag vehicle by the way.

As the kit already provides markings for vehicles from the 2.Pz.Div. in Normandy, it would be great to see them on your excellent build!
Regarding Zimmerit under the 7 spare track on the glacis plate (I mean the plate which contains the hatch for thetransmission and the two hatches for the brakes), why shouldn't there be any Zimmerit?
There are enough photos of Brummbär and Stug IV with Zimmerit under the spare tracks. I see no reason why normal Pz IV shouldn't also have Zimmerit there.
But there is no Zimmerit on the almost 90° lower front plate of the hull (the plate with the two towing devices and the 10 spare tracks).
And the vehicles from the 2.Pz.Div. don't have the close-defense-weapon mounted. Their turrets already have the hole for the close-defense-weapon drilled, but as the close-defense-weapon was actually mounted later, the holes were closed by a round hatch with 4 screws. And that's what can be seen on high resolution photos of the Pz IV H of the 2.Pz.Div..

I'm looking forward your excellent build!

Regards,

Notger

This is 837 that NAS mentioned. Can't tell anything about the camo on this one really, just looks to be a mottled scheme. Did you want to add the hull shurtzen or no? Didn't ask that question earlier.
