Hi there,

I've exhausted my efforts on this one, but with all the Panther nuts around here someone should know the answer to this one.

What I need to know is this.

Of the two Panthers captured by the Polish in the Warsaw uprising there was one coded WP. What unit did this come from and does anyone know if it was two-tone camo or tri-color?

I have found one piece of video footage, but it isn't clear enough to tell and I have no actual still pictures of any Panthers involved in the Warsaw uprising.

Any help you guys can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Donovan

Donovan,
Various sources attribute different German units of origin for the Panthers captured during the Warsaw Rising.

Here are some old threads that may be useful.

Posts made by Marek Jaszczolt seem particularly useful.

If you can find a copy of the first of the Trojca Series on the Panther Tank you will find near the front of the book some photos of the 19th Panzer Division Ausf G`s at warsaw during the uprising . i will try and scan and post them up here tonight after i finish work .

Cheers Plushy
