Ural Rocket Guntruck

Hello!

I very like unusual and prototype vehicles. This one fits to this definition well:

Ural4320 with a part of BRDM's hull on a trunk, with UB-32-57 rocket launcher mounted on its turret.. delicious

I started with BRDM's hull. It is made with 3mm styrene

Interesting. Do you know if it was some kind of prototype or just a field creation from spare parts that were laying around.
Ciekawe, bardzo ciekawe.

I have no idea what was the story of this vehicle. I think it is a kind of prototype. And not field modification- I think it is not so easy to cut off BRDM's hull

Oh it is not a big deal to cut a BRDM hull off, it is not that thick. IMHO this thing is a field modification, as UB blocks were not designed for ground role (and so they do not have a defined ground-to-ground targeting chart, "distances and angles"), the turret does not seem to have an elevation control for the rockets, which a properly designed prototype would have, and the driver's compartement seems to be up-armored with whatever was at hand. Looking at these pictures my guess for the vehicles nationality would be Russain or Chechnian, but more Russian, since it has been painted all over, while rebels don't usually care about proper paintjob. Maybe it was the idea of Russians about a guntruck in A-stan.
something like this a la Russian
