Build is although nice and clean. Camo choice is also cool.
Thanks for the feedback, even though it's a bit harsh . I'm not going to restart it; I'm going to see the model through. I've seen pictures of tanks, armor, and other vehicles with very large paint wear and corrosion areas on them. It will look better once the other pigments are in place and my metal effects are done, but people's terms of "acceptable" are merely opinion.

Hello everyone,

After getting a great book for my birthday, I decided to take a different approach to my E-100. Why not somethingÖ.frosty? So I stripped the tank down, took to the hairspray method and went to work.

I applied a camo scheme seen a lot on the Eastern front as I wanted to simulate this tank being in an SS company pushing back towards the east. I then applied a white wash, took to heavily weathering it and then I applied an ochre filter. Next Iíll be mapping more spots with white enamel paint to create the look of reapplied white washes, but Iíll save that for later as itís been a long night.

Still a long way to go. Next up, mapping and some OPR!

All the best,
Jake

i think it's not overdone...
maybe it was painted in '46with colors similar to Revell colors in '13..
then this bad chipping would actually be realistic...
who knows what kind of paint germans would be using in 46-7... i bet they wouldn't be top quality

Good evening ladies and gents,

I made some further progress on the E-100 tonight, specifically the turret. I added some enamel paint here and there to give the effect of reapplied whitewashes. I also tried my hand at some Eduard stenciling for the insignias!

As always, C&C is appreciated.

All the best,
Jake

Good evening guys and gals,

Not too much more progress tonight. I went to work carefully adding more of the whitewash mapping layers. I’ll be doing some oils, filters and pin washes here shortly.

As always, C&C is appreciated!

All the best,
Jake

Thanks bud!!

Didnít make too much more progress tonight. Iím in the fine details stage of the beast so itís coming to a crawl now. I was going to originally enter this in a contest set for the 21 of September, but I wonít be able to make it due to a wedding. So, I have an entire extra year to get this guy just right and the base Iím creating for it.

Pin washing, filters and oil paint rendering will be the name of the game for the next 10 or so hours of this project.

As always, C&C is appreciated.

All the best,

Jake

Thanks for the kind words! I'm at that stage right now we're I'm hesitant before each more to add a little bit more here and there. I really don't want to wreck it this time around!

All the best,

Jake

I made some further progress on the best tonight. Not too much, but I wanted to accent the right side a little to make it look like the crew likes to sit on that side a bit.

All the best,

Jake
