Hello once again. Its election day today and amazingly everybody gets the day off here on the Island. So here is a small update on the build.

I discovered that all the suspension arms have nasty sinkholes due to poor sprue design.

Luckily that’s nothing the green treatment cannot fix.

In place now.

Next item on my “fix list” is the return roller supports. It appears that the front and rear ones are in the wrong place. So I removed them with a saw blade,

Added a plastic disc to compensate for the material removed by the saw,

And glued them back in the correct spot.

That’s the progress so far.

Model on!!!

how about a later deadline? some more dramatic date like 02/02/2009?

that would give me time enough to finish the vehicles on my bench eventually!

cheers

Marek, do you realize, that you would actually have to build the kit. Just getting it is not enough. Oh oh, and dare I say one actually has to finish the project...

You keep torturing yourself Dave....

Sorry Laura, at least you can always say, “he made me do it!” But I am really happy to have you come along for the build. The SiG33 is perfect! And I guess we can adjust the deadline, I just selected the end of the year to push myself, but the fun thing is not when the deadline is, but to have you all along for the ride.

Thanks Rick! By the way, what secret projects have you been working on lately? You know you should set apart some time and build a model just for yourself. We kind of miss your work around here.

Good fix Dave but my Tamiya kit shows these return roller mounts with rectangular plates under the mounts. Looks like you got a decent reference book there as well.

Of course maybe this might mean nothing to you here but just thought I'd mention it...

You're ahead of me since I added the front flange bolts ( those holding the final drives I guess?)as these were missing, got the wheels together but just need to fill in the back inserts with putty or something to hide the gaps.

Along way to go.....

Good Luck! Paul

seems like someone missed my almost finished flak18 in the "model talk" axis section forum (hint! hint!) ... now where is yours?

siim? time for some use of your force ...

concerning your build dave - tackling an alan kit, boy you really seem to have some bowling balls in your pants ... if i may say so and use that kind of language (SCNR)

sooo, what now? ask big kahuna to create a SPG group build section or individual vbench sbs's? in the last case i would have a smaller problem and would have to ask big kahuna to create either a zombie-vbench (ressurrect the ole and original one if possible) or a new one!

in any case my terror regime of music video loaded builds will return during this one!

uuuuuuuuuuuuh, how i missed it to spread fear and loathing on planetarmor

cheers
