Was the flick "She's Out of My League"?
That's the one! Not a bad flick and I liked her ex-boyfriend whose nic-name is "foot long", LOL.

"Aus-Pom" - Is that half-Australian/half-English?
Yep we get a lot of them here [my 4 girls are aus-poms ]. Crow, Gibson, Bee Gees............ the list of those that lived here but don't want to be called Aussies after they make it is quite long [we must stink ].
The super-sexy Alice Eve is one of the TV stars [we don't make films about Australia other than the gay [nothing wrong with being gay] movie Australia or Wog Boys] that cut her teeth on the small screen before moving overseas.

She's Out of My League
The two lead characters.............................

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

Crossing Over

Good movie, well worth a look [and lots of naked Alice Eve debasing herself [the character] with Ray Liotta].
Everyone in this film worked their arse off

Wasn't Gibson born in New Jersey? Mad Max and the Road Warrior are cult classics here. . .

You're right, the female lead is quite a dish! I checked out the IMDB page and she looks like a younger, more beautiful Nicole Kidman!

Four daughters? You poor man! I've got two (7 and 10) and I'm scared to death. . .

Here we've got Madonna, who has apparently decided she's English!

Yep Gibson's a Yank [Mad Max mate, Mad Max is the film's name, LOL], Crows a Kiwi and the Bee Gees are Poms. The list goes on and on because we are an immigrant nation the same as the USA. They all come here to get a start then piss off because there's no kudos in being an Aussie.

Eve is a stunner for sure and your right about Kidman, I didn't make that link .

4 Girls is only half da story, I've been with my wife for 18 years and she had two kids before we met [dragged her "ex" halfway around the world before she busted up with him ], a boy and a girl. I had two sons in my mid 20s so there is eight kids [1x 26y man, 2x 24y men-where I met my wife was these 2's school, 1x 20y girl, 1x16y girl, 1x 15y girl and 2x 14y girls-twins ]. The 5 girls live at home [hence the wall out the front going up, LOL. No not true, its to keep pricks out of our cars] and boy do they fight like cats .

Madonna? I would have pegged her as the quintessential American woman not a pom . Well you know how women get sometimes, Cher and her seatbelt dress [see photo below. Ouch! What was going on in her mind?], Madonna the pom [my wife and the wall/fortified compound] .

Cher's seatbelt dress

Okay, Okay! "Mad Max" and "The Road Warrior" - happy now?

Yeah, I know what you mean with the "blended family" thing. I've actually got two stepdaughters and the infamous stepson - (I haven't told you the latest about him) as well as three of my own kids from my first marriage.

My daughters actually fight worse than our cats sometimes, and the cats sound like "someone tearing the balls off Satan in a magaphone factory".

A neighbor two doors down (who has four daughters) actually tried to recruit me for a tribunal to interview one of his daughter's dates. I thought it was funny at the time, but now I know where he was coming from!

Yeah, what was Cher thinking? She didn't have the body for that even 20 years BEFORE that shot was taken. Long body/shorter legs. . . She was doing that even back in the 70's and designers like Bob Mackie kept egging her on with more and more revealing garb. That was the topper, though, really bad. Didn't she ride the main battery of an Iowa-class battleship in that same video? It was a 16-incher, and that was the bore!

I've actually heard Madonna affecting an almost English accent. . . Baby girl is from MICHIGAN, the heart of the Rust Belt!

The melting pot thing keeps things interesting, doesn't it?

Cheers,
