Model Tragics List [Michael Bedard's]

I was surfing over at TL when I came across Mike's list of shame. I know I look at half built projects and try to remember why I stopped working on them and its always upsetting to me. Well after reading down the list of kits Mike has I don't feel half as bad is I did.
This is not to put cr-- on Mike, who is a quality builder, but to show that even when it comes to tragic projects there is someone else even more tragic .

God bless Mike and grant him the time on earth to finish half his list .

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

Sounds like the details kill him.
By the time you compile research data to make sure you are building the right thing and wait for AM parts to arrive can take weeks for little or no return. In that time something comes along and you think "mmmmmm, a quick build to kill some waiting time" and the whole cycle starts again, hence the time frame on Mike's list being decades long .
Been there, done that .

Yeah I think you're right about details ...I've started to rethink my modelling time and if I want to get half my stash built before I leave this earth I'm going to be building more OOB than going all out ...I got quite a few sitting in boxes that will probably never get finished ,but ain't that just the way it is ???

You only forgot to mention the "sounds easy when you plan it but ends up so complicated it outpasses one's skills" kind of projects ... Story of my life.
