Thanks mate, France it is .

OK, had a shit of a day stuffing up my tank build.
I used the wrong bit for the rear of the upper engine deck [I used the E one (E22) not the D one (J8)] it's about the smoke pot holder mounting. I've removed the brackets and filled the two slots but while doing that I snapped the grab handle off of the radiator hatch. I've made a new one out of copper but I'm not 100% on how it looks.
I've built the driver's plate (J19) and the bow MG and painted the inside black as I may have the hatches open. Any way I'll post some picks tomorrow morning of what I've done as the upper hull is just about built tonight.

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

I forgot to add that it is a great kit that goes together well.

OK, I've got a few shots of the rear plat and the repairs to it.
After I add the tow cable and a few other bits I don't think any of the damage/repair will be visible .
I was tired and just didn't keep to my plan of step by step, by the numbers.
Check twice, glue once

Oh and here's the not so good handle. You get an idea above plus this one to tell me wether I should keep it or try again [poll wins].

When putting the air grills into the upper engine deck I had to trim a bit off and risk damage. to avoid this if I do it again I'd do the intakes first and the the hatches.

The bow MG was a little tricky to get and I'm not 100% sure I did it right [some ambiguity in the instructions]. I worked the flash suppressor a bit and I think that it looks a ton better .

Looking good Steve, the MG barrel looks fine to my eye If you're worried about any leftover plastic in the barrel, you can apply a little Tamiya thin cement to clear it away....just an idea if you didn't know.

You're right it's a nice kit. I think the handle is fine as well, no sweat there!

Regards, Paul
