Hi Jose,

I just bought the T-34/76 1941 model by Zvezda for a future dio I'm planning. It looks like an excellent model and the instructions are good to follow. I don't think you can go wrong with either company. Good luck on your decision.

Jose,

Just keep in mind the Tamiya kit is quite dated....so if you want to build an accurate one, some puttying and sanding will be required. I'm building the Tamiya kit right now. mine has those motorization holes so its a pain to fill all of them as well. I'm building it with the rear fuel tanks for some variety, and the "mickey mouse" hatches.

I can't speat as to the Zvesda kit but I'll bet its pretty good, probably the hull would be more accurate. Actually Tamiya released 2 versions...the 1943 production model and the 'CHTZ' factory version which has some extra goodies.

This is the 3rd dg you asked this question on.

Have you read your answers to your same post over at Track-Link and Armorama?

http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=mod...id=45037&page=1

http://www.track-link.net/forum/modelling_kits/1946

Are you STILL expecting different answers at every armor dg on the web??

In defence of Serpy...
I don't know -sometimes I do that as well- different people visit different web sites for armour/models- so sometimes you have to cast a wide net to get an answer. (or different answers)
Some of my best days are the ones where I have no opinion. I guess this may not be one of them...
(P.S. Steve-you really should have your last name in your profile as well.)

Is the DML T34/76 mod 1941 on the market yet? Has any one put they're mitts on one yet? How's it look?

Been out for ages - got one myself. It has some photoetch that the earlier T-34/76 Mod. 1940 from Dragon doesn't have. Both kits are top notch

I want to amend a statement from a previous post. The T34/76 Model 1941 is from DML. It is an excellent kit with PE parts and individual tracks. I did order a Jordio Rubio barrel because I like the aluminum barrels. The tank I bought from Zvezda is the Pzkpfw III ausf F. It's an OK kit, but I've built the DML version in ausf H, and that is a better kit. Zvezda is trying to compete with the rest of the established companies. Their kits ( I have pre-USSR collapse, and post USSR) are pretty good but there is some considerable parts cleanup when building. But all in all they're OK.

Hi,
and there might be an actual T-34/76-43 coming from DML. At least it is soon out in 1/72 scale. Those will pretty much render all Tamiya/Zvezda/etc. models usel....err, old-fashioned and outdated

Br,
Niko
