AFV 1/48 Tiger 1 Ausf E Early Version

While looking around my LHS today I spied this kit and thought I'd have a crack at it. This one will be OOTB so it should be built this weekend .
There is a fantastic opportunity out there to be a superstar with this kit, in this scale, as there is no end of inaccuracies and "kit issues" that need correcting and I'm sure that a super detailing is in the wings. Anyway I'll add some pics ASAP but in the interim this is the Skybow kit, IIRC,and Terry's uber review site comes to the party yet again

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .

Inaccuracies?

Are there are any problems not listed here?

Thanks for the link David . That will help no end and going by that list this could well be #131 build [low grief ] with just plugs in the drivers plate. BTW, I see that there is an ignition wire for the "S" launcher on the Bovington Tiger, did that mean they were on the tank before the photos of Winnie and the King in NA?. Those exhaust shrouds are distinctive without the two embossed ridges, top 'n bottom, how common was that for this era?

At a quick glance I noted that it was going to be a stretch to build any early Tigers and sPzAbt.501 were out. Also S33 has the standard drive sprocket, the kit one has the initial hub that lines up with the sprocket's spokes so thats out. I'll keep you appraised of issues but going OOTB will lead to few conflicts that usually pop up when building specific tanks [ie; DML's jack on the initial Tigers].
regards coops

The S-mine positions were wired up AFAIK, just the launch tubes were missing.

The unembossed exhaust shield is very unusual, I can only explain it as a factory error.

I was going to do a quick build this weekend but things got in the way [not home all day yesterday and out drinking last night]. I've got a hangover so it's best I take it easy for today. The anti-allergy tablets I take and alcohol don't mix so today I pay .
