Thanks Rob, glad you dropped by for a look .
I know what you're saying about these kits. At the time i just couldn't see any good idea about a one off batch run. Tamiya gets over 30 years out of a kit DML got one bite. Go figure eh?
Perhaps they know that when sales drop off they can always come back to a new Tiger kit and get us again [and trust me when I say that I'd snap up ten new early Tigers without a second thought if they did do one].

Any one know what Tiger I kits Dragon do these days?

Looks great so far Coops!
Dragon do a late prod with Zimmerit, and you can still get their late prod DX07 show kit for Alfred Kurzmaul.

I have the Dragon late prod super kit (similar to yours) in my stash. I actually saw a kit the same as yours go for $30Au at a club meet a month ago and missed it by 5 min-doh!
I think you can still get some of the cyber hobby ones if you look around

Cheers

Anthony

Good work so far Steve.
The tamiya's offering is nice too, I have the Afrika and Mid Tigers, built a while back and now waiting for restoration.
I prefer friuls normally but this set of tracks looks fine. Tell me, are these delicate? I mean like Modelkasten? I had some bad experiences while weathering a set for T 34 from MK in the past. They simply broken. These tiger links look sturdy when put together but it's better to ask

G'day Anthony,
Mate how cool are these kits? I've got to say if you dipped out at 30/35 bucks you just not trying to hard, hahaha.
I've got to get one of the "zimm" Tigers later. I've seen some shit-hot ones like this [link below] late that really give me a twitch, hahaha.
Thanks for dropping in mate and I hope to hear from you again .
Regards Steve

Hey mate!
I agree with you about Tamiya Tigers being ok too .
I've not built the NordAfrika Tiger but the Early Tiger is well done but a mish-mash of the early features that make it a pill for the train-spotters out there .

The links have much better strength than the MK links BUT nothing is as tough as Friuls . I dont think they will fall apart after gluing because they clamp together and don't use pins.

I'm looking forward to the new range of T34 products coming out by AFV Club. The new T34/85 looks fantastic too but I think I'll build a few early 76mm ones first.
How about a dio with the early Dragon Tiger i driving past a destroyed AFV T34 with it's full insides showing [a bit like the MIG set]?
Regards Steve

Hi Luiz, thanks for looking mate and I highly recommend the tracks [I've built them all over the years]. Sure they are not faultless but they are very good for what they are and do .

I hope that I can keep you interested over the coming weeks as I build this tank up .
Regards Steve

"Hi" back at ya Rick .
Thanks for your comments Rick and this Tiger is up for some real TLC thats for sure.
I'm not 100% happy with the job I did on the tracks but it was to late after I glued the idler arms in place [I lost fine adjustment that would have given me a better sag that I wanted]. I'm not like you, or the other top-notch build/painters, and never seem to get to a point that I'm happy with. I always see my faults as faults not opportunities to get it right next time .

Thanks for looking and it's good to know someone as gifted as you drops by to see whats going on .
regards Steve

Hello,

When I first read the post the box looked familiar.....I just started the 1/72nd Tiger and it has the same box art.

Nice progress so far and I will be following this one
