3rd SS Aufklarungs Bttln. Russia - June, 1941

Tamiya BMW and Italeri figure.
The only modification to the figure is a helmet change and the added aluminum foil rifle sling. The BMW however has a bunch of mods. The brake, clutch and accelerator cables are all made from 2 lb. monofilament fishing line. The linkage from the shifter to the transmission is stretched sprue while the clutch and brake handles are made from shaved sprue.
The BMW fuel tank emblem and all of the guages were handpainted. The base is a decoupage board that was stained and sealed. The ground work is Celluclay, Woodland Scenics and broom straw.

Yeah, I agree.
That was back in the early 80's before I realized that one see's little if any 'eye' in 1/35th. He almost looks as though something big stepped on him!
Either way - he's mine and I'll claim him, can't blame those eyes one anyone but me!
