Evan, Panther 741 belongs to 9th Panzer and is probably a DB produced vehicle (Andrew?). Note the verticle stripes of camo colour.

Yep Willy, 741's a Daimler Benz Panther. Cross on the turret. Larry, your most recent two are top, Befehlspanther R02 and Panther 800 from SS.Pz.Rgt.5 and bottom one is (more than obviously) SS.Pz.Rgt.3. I see you posted another one while I was editing, the first one you did with the stripey Panthers, I'm not sure of the unit.

Monsieur Distain clearly impressing the ladies with his knowledge of Das Reich Panthers.

The pic indeed was from the JJ Fedowitcz book on the 653rd. Here are the pics for educational purposes only, they are all copyrighted.

Thanks Andrew,

Yes the last is quite obvious, so much that I had to put it up jus tto verify it.
I find it of interest because of this, but also the triangle on the rear hatch, was this a marking of Totenkopf div.?

I like the stripey.

Larry

John,

Wow, thanks for taking the time to find and post all those photos. Awesome. Not to be too obsessive, but I still think there's another one out there somewhere of the side.

Thanks everyone for your info!

Larry

Andrew
Andrew,

Is this possibly an MNH built Panther?

Thanks Andrew.

Larry, I have a front on view of the cannibalised Panther G showing its chassis number. From memory its a MAN Panther (Paint scheme and cross on very front of vehicle), I'll check & confirm either way when I get home.

Willy.
