Well there are those who say DML, and those who say Tamiya. Both need work, in different places. Tamiya plastic craps all over DML plastic from a great height, so i'd go with Tamiya. Also, you get the cupola episcopes in the Tamiya kit.

The Panther madness continues, three more pics.

First, an Ausf A. Interesting to see the commander using a scissors periscope.

Next, two shots of the Koln Panther (s?)

There's just something about these pics, almost surreal. A KO'ed Panther admist all that Gothic architecture.

And to think those allied guys say all we do is slobber over Wittman and his Tigers!

Interesting shot - the Cologne panther was a befehls panther.. note the plug for the co-ax MG

I'm glad I saw this thread now, it's shown me the first pic I've ever seen of a Panther G with steel wheels on the rear station only. Anyone know why they did that?

Pete

Peter,

Actually, this one has just had the rubber burnt off. It doesn't have the steel wheel on the last station. The reason some were built that way is still a matter of debate.

If someone who knows wants to correct me, but is that a French tankers helmet that crewman is wearing in that shot?

Cheers

hmmmmmmmm,

not quite sure, but I do know that the picture has been reversed, probably in some publication.

another from e-bay?* Very late G from DB with foliage loops, but still with AAMG ring.and striped camo.

OK, I've just realized the caption, or notation on this pic is TOTALLY Wrong!
I had seen were someone said something about Chez 1945 on ML but I am wondering which division this one might be from. I also noticed what looks to be deflectors on the exhaust. Hmm next project maybe???
