M4 Mortar Carrier 1/35 Dragon

Hi folks,

here's my current build, my first halftrack. I'm enjoying it, it's really different from the tanks I'm used to ! And a usual with Dragon, it goes perfectly.

Next step should come soon, I'm building the cabin.

The DML halftracks are lots of fun to build! May I make this suggestion?

DML incorrectly made their front bumper. You should remove the two plates with the eight bolts where you mounted the roller support arms. DML got those from a restored vehicle and it does not represent a production feature.

Hi folks,

I've been working on it for some days, but I had no time to post the WIP pictures. So here's the work so far : Colors, washes, filters, scratches.
Pretty happy with my job

Thanks for the info on the front bumper, T26E4, I'll correct it on a future model, when I saw your answer I had gone really further and I didn't want to ruin my work...

Hi guys,

here she is, completely finished, it was a really nice kit to build and weather. Thanks to Dragon who put twice the same tracks in its kit, what makes the right tracks unable to fit the model... Gotta find a US mechanic to make a little vignette !

Thanks for posting. I noticed the fighting compartment is about not attached to your frame. They should be flush. Your jerry can holders, fixed headlights and exhaust pipe seem to be missing too. Your rusting and paint chipping could use some restraint and more thoughtful placement, the next time too. What do you mean that Dragon gave you two sets of tracks but the right ones are un-fittable? Each DML Halftrack kit comes with two D-sprues. On it are the reversible track parts 17 and 23. These are interchangeable for both the right and left sides.

Hope this helps

Nice start, but had to resize this set of photos that were too large and were taking up too much space.

thank you

It's all good. I don't mind fixing things here at planetarmor such as that.

Take care and looking forward to further updates with your build.

Thank you.
