Tamiya Marder III Ausf Gw

Well , this is my first build posted here for quite some time , man it's good to be back
This is my latest build just finished a week or two ago
Tamiya's Marder III with PART photo etch and Friul tracks
Not being 100% accurate as i don't know much about these little tank destroyer's it was more a project in trying out new techniques in painting and weathering
I was trying to achieve an abandoned vehicle in the North Africa campaign a few months after the crew had jumped ship and showing what the harsh desert environment can do
I usually display my build's on a small diorama base so this is quite the opposite from the norm
here are a few latest photo's

Thanks for taking the time to have a look
Any comments , questions are more than welcome
Thank's in advance

Matt

Well done, Matt.

I like your premise of the abandoned vehicle...and your weathering fits the story very well. I think that it would really POP if you were ever to decide to place it upon a scenic base.

Hi Rick and thank you for your kind words my friend , unfortunately she is well and truly stuck down to the base , i agree i should have gone with my original plan of putting it on a small dio base but now i would be afraid of destroying the tracks and the wooden base plus i really wanted to get stuck into my next project ( which will defiantly be on some ground work )

Nice one Matt. A bit of ground work would really have set the scene though.
I like your staining on the yellow.

looking forward to the next one.
