One thing you might consider adding is the quite prominent weld line around the entire flak base. This is not a moulding line, and should be there. I see you have cleaned it off.

Hi Antonio. Looks like a great combination. I like your take on the modulation technique a lot, and after filters, should look perfect. Too much contrast would not work IMO, but I think you nailed it.

Nice progress so far Dave. Its very true .... seeing one of these "below par" kits being assembled is much more fun, as more tips and thought are needed. The newer smart kits are assembled too easily...
