Got this in the mail a couple of days ago.

I also ordered PW 2 at the same time, but since it is not ready yet, Bill Auerbach hand wrote a message saying he would rebate me cost of postage for PW2 since if it had been available at the same time it wouldn't have cost any extra to mail the 2 of them together.

Where do you get THAT kind of service any more?

It's a great book, and I can't wait for the other one.

Also these from Concord...

Panzer Tracts on Panzer IV's

And this little one from some Obscure guy on the other side of the earth.. ;)

Hi Guys,

Saw the Osprey book on modeling the T-55 and was wondering what the one on the bottom was, looks like a t-55 w/ a US tank destroyer turret???
Think I need to get this book ;)

lucatolo 02-12-2006 11:23 AM

Hi Larry,

I was considering buying PW 1 and 2 too: would you suggest them? My main and only interest is in WWII German AFVs, so they would be helpful?

Thanks in advance!

Nice choices Larry! PW is excellent and like many others I too am eagerly looking forward to #2. It has been rumored that it will include the color pic of the octopus camo Tiger II...we can hope at least :).

Luca, I would highly reccommend the Panzerwrecks book(s), #1 as I mentioned is well worth it, and I'm sure #2 will be also.

Hey Thomas,

Yeah it is a turret from an M-18 Hellcat.

Hey guys,

Grizzly, yes Alex is correct , it's an m-18 turret.

Yes it is an excellant book with very nice pics. Most are taken by servicemen, mostly Aussie's it looks like. Some very rare afv's also.

The color pic of the octopus camo!? that would be VERY cool! I think that I'll eventually get all 3.

Hey guys,

Look what came in the mail today! :)

Shatton Modelbau brass mg 34 brass barrel.

Artisan Mori Panther sproket

Artisan Mori panther and jagdpanther mg armored ball mounts.

WWII panther late tracks.

Some Mr. Surfacer 500 (finally), and some Mr. Hobby paint cups, in metal.

some Mig panther D correct armored air intake grills

DML's "achtung jabo" panzer crew, mostly for the mantlet..

DML German tank crew....

and last but not least I broke down and bought a new TII !
