OK intro to this is. . . I have made k'od tanks before now and they did not require the work that this one required. A metal hull for starters - i had to cut off the kit stub axles and redrill all axle points 5mm higher up the hull sides - adding new brass rod axles and fitting spacers then repositioning the road wheels.

This gave me the correct 'sit' for the heat damaged torsion bar suspension. As you may notice i did not use any etched for the kit only metal sheet and brass mesh from my own stocks. In these times of money troubles problem solving is cheaper than ordering more into your stash .:thumb:

The 'zim' is incomplete until i commit to closing the hull together and it is being done as a Demag factory applied coating. I have noted that when some Panthers burned they did not always ignite and burn the wheels rubber rims so this is one of those. Two 17pdr (77mm) penetration holes in rear plate with shattered kisten box. The Panther will be heavily burnt out in the rear area with the front end heat damaged and blackened. I went as far as making the commanders scopes in cupola which you may spot.

This is a project started a year or so ago. I have a diorama being constructed for this + a Universal carrier in Normandy which is previewed below.

I will keep all you peeps posted and involved as my progress creeps along lol
Thanks for having a look Nick :)

Heres some work i've recently finished.I found two boxes of PSC 15mm kits in a charity shop. T34's & Pz IV's great little mouldings for thier purpose and i saw potential to detail. I rebuilt the schurzen + brackets from 0.25mm aluminum sheet. An italeri 72nd church ruin which i judged to be useable. The street was made from milliput with the manhole cover made by pressing in a piece of tube to mark surface. With tramlines set prior. Road texture with a stippled old toothbrush and scratchbuilt telephone pole & church bulletin board. The T34 turret was embedded ih groundwork to add ballance to the composition. Painted with Valejo acrylics and Humbrol enamel washes. Diorama measures 105x70mm lol
Tiny but tidy models can be made . . .enjoy. . . feedback welcome always There is more to come in time (the only thing i can't buy) and will try to keep you all updated

Good evening all,

I've been primarily a figure painter, so this is my first real go at a tank. It's the first time I've really ever used an airbrush as well. I'm in the process of working on a tank for a contest. Any feedback on this journey would be much appreciated!

Here's a progression of where I'm at so far...

I'm not done with the highlights yet; that'll come tomorrow. Still getting used to fading and modulation techniques though.

All the best,
I prefer Eastern Front Axis Minors ( Hungarian, Slovak, Bulgarian, Rumanian, Croat, and Finnish) I also like early war, mostly Polish Campaign stuff. I consider myself an ever learning modeller.

Greetings all, I'm Jim Harr, a longtime lurker coming out from the shadows to say hello. I'm a pretty accomplished modeler all around, but my armor work is always in need of improvement (my birthday is June 6th, so I'm partial to Allied vehicles of the Normandy campaign :-). I see a lot of great and inspiring work, as well as new products, here, and so I look forward to continuing to enjoy it. And perhaps share some of my own. Thanks to everyone here and especially Alex for maintaining such a pleasant place to enjoy this hobby. See you around!

Hi everyone . This is my first post here. Two weeks ago i discovered that i had a kit of m-24 by italeri. I decided to built it because i believe it is easy and because i wanted to try the hairspray technique . Maybe i was to hard with the model using the hairspray technique ... you will be the judge of that. Anyway , enough talking lets see some photos
