I just came back from dropping my father off at the airport, I hope you didn't follow my earlier directions to AA Hobbies and get lost, it turns out the ramp you want, the first ramp off of the airport exit is the Jefferson Blvd ramp and not the Post Road ramp, if you got lost and spent the afternoon cursing me out, I apologize. If you didn't then I'm glad I caught it in time.

My memory just isn't what it used to be.

I hear you on the AM stuff, I have been trying to scratch more/buy less over the last year, it's easier on the wallet and much more satisfying in the long run. Although some PE like screens and resin like tires/rims I sometimes cannot do without.

Meeting up at a hobby store sounds good, Apponaug might be better suited for that though, AA is pretty tight and just a few people in there it gets crowded, hanging around chewing the fat usually ends up with me knocking stuff off the shelf ! LOL

I don't know if you know Steve at Apponaug, but he loves the company and will gladly gab along with us, ass long as the owner Chuck isn't hanging around giving the evil eye.

Take the airport exit ( 13 ? ) off of 95 south, then off of that exit take the Jefferson Blvd. exit before getting to the airport. At the bottom of the ramp take a left, when you come to a traffic light and a Honey Dew donuts is on the right, you'll see a small sign on your left that reads AA Hobbies, there are only a few parking spots in front of the building, if they are full take the small driveway on the right to the back and park there.

John has a ton of armor in stock at all times and in the far corner of the store he has a counter and a stool. Have a seat on the stool if you like aftermarket stuff, you will find yourself lost for hours going through the boxes and boxes of stuff on the counter, the shelves above and the cabinets below. When and IF you get through all of that stuff without giving yourself a headache, turn around on the stool and look on the shelf facing the wall, there's even more.

I'm not exaggerating either, he is the aftermarket king. :D

Hmm, never been to Darlington, I'll have to look into that.

When you say Warwick I'm thinking it's one of the two I mentioned, AA Hobbies is a small building packed to the ceiling, lots of armor, lots of aftermarket stuff, Big John behind the counter ?

Apponaug (sp) on the other hand is a huge store with a lot of train stuff and not so much armor...

maybe I'll run into you one of these days.

So, what hobby stores do you normally go to ? Did you ever go to Don Mills/East Bay on 44 in seekonk when it was there ?

I used to be there a lot, now it's AA Hobbys and Aponaug in RI, don't know of anything else around here.
