Hey Guy's,
Here are a few pics of my latest figure. Its a Nemrod offering with a Hornet head. I painted it entirely in Vallejo Acrylics. The Base was turned on my lathe and the groundwork done with Apoxie Sculpt Techstar static grass and Woodland scenics tall grass. Its a Seargent of the Regiment de la Chaudiere a French Canadian Unit on DDay June 6 1944. Thanks for looking
Cheers,
Bryan

That looks real good B.
One thing that stood out for me though is the highlites on the cheekbones- I feel the contrast is a little strong, the white too pronounced -while this helps portray and distinguish the planes of the face perhaps a little more blending with the other tones in that area would help soften the effect?Just a suggestion ;)
BTW -what kind of helmet is that- doesn't look like the typical Commonwealth variety. ( I am no expert by any means on skull protection, just curious)

Hi James,
thanks for the suggestion, I think your probably right. I should blend the cheek highlights in a bit more. The Helmet is the Mk III helmet that was used by most of the Cwlth troops that were involved with Dday. IT was quickly discarded by many troops though after normandy and they reverted back to wearing the MkII. HTH
Cheers,
B
