Hasegawa Puma Progress Update

Here are some shots of my 1/72 Hase Puma
underway. I should have all major assembly done
very soon and start basic paint this weekend. I hope.

First up is the completed interior, a little basic,
but you can't see much when done anyway. I
was only playing around in hopes of the rest of the 234 series. ;)

Dry fit from bottom, note this requires clamping as there is a little
wrap in the parts. The overhang from the top is normal for the 234.

It looks have great details as a 1/72 AFV. good luck!

I'm a super fan of Sd.kfz 231 series(232,234,234,263...),but i just build 1/35 AFV only. Italeri had released a Puma in 1:35 scale.Anyone knows is it good or not??

OK so here is today's progress. The gun barrel
is only dry fit still because it needs some cleanup,
but the rest is done and ready for paint as soon as
I get the wheels ready.

First up the basic kit manlet, needed a little work:

And after adding casting effect and weld beeds.
This was done with MEK, a toothbrush, and stretched sprue.

And now the top and sides. The figures are from Presier, I wanted
to add something to show scale and interest, hopfully it will work,
but generally I do not care for figures because they seldom look
real and usually take away from a model IMO.

OK progress up until now.

Note: No weathering on so far, this
starts after decals are dry. All that's
going on here is camo, filter (sand), gloss
and decals which are still wet.

Decals are from Techmod (Kagero book).

I went ahead and drilled all smoke dischargers
because after looking at a couple drilled and the
rest not it looked funny to me.

I also managed to break all my fender poles, but
I had made those anyway so I'll just make more
closer to the finish.

Hi,
I did exactly same version using Kagero decals but with Mars /2. I've painted it and it is ready for washes etc.
Hasegawa Puma is also waiting to be built. Maybe I'll wait for PE sets from either Eduard or Part.

looks very good. What did you use for weathering? Coloring is nice sa it isn't too dark as it may turn out in small scale stuff.

Thanks fellas, and yeah I like the small scale, in fact it's all I've ever built. I saw some of your 1/144 stuff. Now that is small!

Niko, for weathering I used a filter of Sand color to help lighten and blend the colors together. Then I used MMP powders in various places as well as a light raw umber wash. Mud came from plaster with pastels and paint mixed in for color.
