Hello from Cajunland - ie., southern Louisiana
JM,
Welcome to planetarmor and thank your for your first visit from "Cajunland - ie., southern Louisiana". Been thru your beautiful country many times driving the super slab, I-10 to the east coast and back to Texas.
Looking forward to your model builds here on planetarmor.

Tks for the welcome.
Stumbled across this website/these forums accidentally and one of the builds, Bravo Tango's Straight Flush radar vehicle, not only caught my eye, it "conned me" into thinking I ought to give it a try also. Not being completely daft, I picked up a Trumpeter SA-6 off eBay and will see if I can "not screw that up too badly" first before trying to semi-duplicate Bravo Tango's excellent work.
Haven't built a model in 40 years, so I've obviously got a lot to (re-)learn and am too ignorant, right now, to know what I don't know and what I can't do (yet). Being retired, I've got nothing but time and ambition - in addition to admiration "for those who have gone down this road before".
We'll see how it goes.
PS - I assume that though, not strictly "armor-oriented", a few similar (radar-related) builds wouldn't be completely out of place here - should I continue after the Straght Flush vehicle?
Tks again for the welcome.

40 years! I was shocked after my 15 year hiatus. Welcome back to the hobby John Martin.

JM,
The BT Straight Flush vehicle sounds very interesting. Please request a vBench from Gordy and get you build posted here on planetarmor (vBench).
Looking forward to the build.
Thank you.
