Hey there,

So it wasn't easy at the end, because I discovered the idler wheels are wrong on Dragon's kit and need some alteration, but it is a real easy fix if you know about *before* the tracks are on. :angry: Anyway, that's a done deal and here it is finished as 224 from the 503rd Normandy, 1944.

Weathering was done with MMP powders.

Hope you like. I'm please with the result, the only thing I think I will change are the jerry cans. I don't know that I care for them after I see them in the pics. Maybe instead a nice 88mm ammo box on the rear deck and the jerry cans perhaps painted yellow rather than gray...

really nice build.
I've heard that is a really nice kit. Any insights?

Also, most photos are on this site as well in the various threads on the build.

From memory I don't recall any big problems. The lack of decent vision ports on the turret, troublesome idler wheels, poor side mud guards, and lack of track changing cable are the biggest problems, but all can be overcome with little trouble.

Also you will have to take spare track for the turret from another source if you want it. Oh, and it would be best to cut the tow cable ends off the plastic front portion and just make all metal cables.

All in all a good little kit and this won't be my last for sure.
