whilst it's great James posted the link unless he's changed his accent for a northern English one I think you'll find this video comes courtesy of John Hayward.

He's posted a few on you tube showing his techniques, as indeed so has James to show various methods of working etc. Thanks to both for the time and effort they put in to producing these for our benefit.:thumb:

Al, you are spot on.

The Scale Model Medic is in fact 'BigJon' or, Jon (no H) Hayward and has (his words not mine) a Brummie accent. :D

He does post on The Big A and ML but frequents Scale Model World HERE (http://scalemodelworld.net/forums/) on a daily basis. He is a pretty darn talented modeler and a super helpful (and funny) guy to have around. If you want to get to know Jon a bit better, we have a 'Meet the Modeler' topic on the home site.

Didn't recognise it as A Birmingham accent, thought it more Lancashire-ish, but now you mention it I guess it is Midlands. I usually watch the stuff he posts links to over on Armorama. I don't think I've actually looked at the SMW site. Too many sites.....that's why nothing gets built !!

Guess all these names are double dutch to you and any other none UK reader :)

Took a quick look at the SMW site, reminds me of a computer graphics one I frequented for a while a few years ago in its format. By the way saw you did a piece on the jerrycan. If you'd like to add this link to an excellent reference on the German side of things. Very comprehensive and detailed.

Dunno mate! Like I said, his words but he did use :D after he said that. There are a handful of members from the UK and he was more telling them then me, perhaps he was born there and has since moved?

There are a lot more forums visible to registered users, and the home page is at a different address but I'm pretty sure you've already seen all of Alan's Hornet and Wee Friends reviews at the big A. ;)

Ahh that was just a thread of general info as a response to seeing too many modelers, too many times tell others that the jerrycan they used looks German and wouldn't be found on that Jeep or Sherman they built.

The link however is great, thank you. I will add it to the thread for sure.
